Meet Tom
CFO, Director
Tom is the CFO and Director of Keen Bank and has 30 years of banking experience. Tom pursued a career in banking because he grew up in the industry and it was a natural fit. He began his career at a young age for his family’s bank, from stuffing statements and sorting checks. His role includes financial analysis, budgeting, bank investments and maintaining facilities as well as overseeing the IT department and processing.
Tom is a graduate of St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and University of Wisconsin, Madison Graduate School of Banking. He is a Certified network Administrator and Certified Unix Administrator and Certified Bank Security Officer. He received the Jaycee Distinguished Service Award in 2003 and was the recipient of the Blandin Community Leadership Scholarship and recipient of Ten Young Outstanding Minnesotans in 2004. Tom has served in a variety of roles for many community organizations including Waseca Exchange Club, Waseca County Sno Secas, Waseca Jaycees, Waseca Toastmasters, Waseca Lions Club, Eagles Club, Knights of Columbus, Minnesota Bankers Association, Waseca Arts Council, Lakeside Golf Club, Waseca Hospice, Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce, Waseca Public Schools, Farmamerica, Waseca Boy Scouts and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
In his spare time, Tom enjoys spending time outdoors from snowmobiling, skiing, riding ATVs and lake sports. His family raises meat goats and shows horses and he is active with church endowment and 4-H events.
